Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Leh. Local Sight-Seeing

Arrive at Leh Airport, meet our representative, and transfer to your hotel for check-in and acclimatization. Later, visit the serene Shanti Stupa for panoramic views, explore the historic Leh Palace, and stroll through the bustling Leh Market to shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Evening at leisure. Dinner included.
Note: Stay hydrated and avoid exertion on your first day to adjust to the high altitude.

Day 2Leh - Hunder via Khardung La

After breakfast, drive via Khardung La (17,300 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable passes, with breathtaking Himalayan views. Descend towards Khalsar Village for lunch and optional adventure activities (go-karting, rafting, ATV – at own cost).

Continue to Diskit to visit the ancient monastery and the towering Maitreya Buddha statue, before heading to Hunder, famous for its sand dunes and rare Bactrian (double-humped) camels. Enjoy an optional camel safari or explore the unique desert landscape surrounded by mountains.

Day 3Turtuk Excursion

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Shyok River valley and rustic settlements like Thoise to reach Turtuk, a picturesque border village known for its Balti culture, apricot orchards, and Karakoram views. Explore its narrow lanes, historic mosque, and unique handicrafts before continuing to Thang Village, one of India’s northernmost villages offering stunning vistas and traditional Balti homes.

Return to Hunder by evening and relax under the clear night sky.

Day 4Hunder - Sumur

After breakfast, drive to Sumur Village, stopping en route at the historic Diskit Monastery, the largest and oldest in Nubra Valley. Explore the peaceful village of Sumur at leisure before trekking to the hidden gem of Yarab Tso, a crystal-clear lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. On your way back, visit Samstanling Monastery, an important Buddhist site in the valley.

Day 5Sumur - Pangong

After breakfast, drive via Agham–Shyok route, passing through scenic villages and rugged landscapes. Stop at Shyok Village on the riverbanks before continuing through remote valleys and mountain roads via Durbuk and Tangste.

Arrive at the breathtaking Pangong Tso, a high-altitude lake famous for its ever-changing shades of blue and turquoise, surrounded by dramatic mountains. Spend the evening soaking in the serenity of this natural wonder.

Day 6: Pangong to Han-Le

After breakfast, drive from Pangong Tso via the villages of Maan and Merak, reaching Chushul before ascending the scenic Tsaga La Pass (4,600 m) with panoramic views. Continue through Loma village to arrive at Hanle, home to the renowned Hanle Observatory, one of the best places in India for stargazing.

Explore Hanle’s traditional houses, monasteries, and enjoy an unforgettable evening under the clearest night skies.

Day 7: Han-Le to Tso-Moriri

After breakfast, depart Hanle via Loma Bend and Nayoma, driving through dramatic high-altitude landscapes with chances to spot local wildlife. Cross the Mahe Bridge over the Indus River before continuing to Kyagar Tso, a pristine blue lake perfect for a brief stop.

Arrive at the breathtaking Tso Moriri Lake, a high-altitude wetland sanctuary surrounded by snow-capped peaks and home to diverse migratory birds.

Day 8 Tso Moriri to Leh

After breakfast, drive from Tso Moriri towards Tso Kar Lake, a striking saltwater lake with stark landscapes, then continue via Debring and cross the high-altitude Tanglang La Pass. Descend through Rumtse and Upshi, known for its vibrant local market and Indus confluence.

En route to Leh, visit the iconic monasteries of Hemis, Thiksey, and Shey Palace, followed by a stop at the famous Rancho School (from 3 Idiots) and the serene Sindhu Ghat.

Arrive in Leh by evening for check-in and relaxation.

Day 09 Leh – Kargil via Lamayuru & Alchi

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast before heading out for sightseeing around Leh and en route to Kargil. Visit the Hall of Fame Museum, honoring Indian Army heroes, and the historic Spituk Monastery. Continue to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, the mysterious Magnetic Hill, and the stunning Sangam—confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers.

Drive onwards to the 11th-century Alchi Monastery, renowned for its murals, and Likir Monastery, home to a towering Maitreya Buddha statue. Pass through the surreal Moonland landscapes before reaching the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of Ladakh’s oldest and most picturesque monasteries.

By evening, arrive in Kargil, check into your hotel, and relax. Overnight stay in Kargil with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 10Kargil – Srinagar

After breakfast, drive through the Drass Valley, the world’s second coldest inhabited place, and visit the Kargil War Memorial to honor the soldiers of the 1999 war. Continue to the Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum, showcasing Kargil’s trade and cultural heritage, and stop at the rock-carved Maitreya Buddha at Gompa Monastery.

Cross the scenic Zoji La Pass and enjoy breathtaking views of Thajiwas Glacier in Sonmarg before reaching Srinagar by evening.

Day 11Srinagar – Gulmarg - Srinagar N/S| Enjoy Asia’s Highest Cable Car Ride

After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (2730 m), famously known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Explore its world-class ski slopes and the highest 18-hole golf course. If weather permits, enjoy panoramic views of Nanga Parbat (26,000 ft). You can also opt for a Gondola cable car ride to Khilanmarg (at own cost) for stunning mountain vistas.

Return to Srinagar in the evening and relax at your hotel.

Day 12Srinagar Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the beauty of Srinagar’s Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashmeshahi, Pari Mahal, and Tulip Garden (open seasonally). All gardens are set against the backdrop of the majestic Zabarwan Mountains, overlooking the Dal Lake. Visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views of the valley.

Later, enjoy a complimentary 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, soaking in the charm of Srinagar’s waterways.

In the evening, check in to a traditional houseboat for an authentic Kashmiri experience.

Day 13Srinagar to Pahalgam | A Journey to ABC Valleys

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and drive to Pahalgam, also known as the “Valley of Shepherds.”

En route, pass through Pampore, famous for its saffron fields, and visit Avantipura, home to the 1100-year-old Shiva temple built by King Awantivarman. Continue via Bijbehara, known as the breadbasket of Kashmir, and the bustling town of Anantnag.

On arrival in Pahalgam, enjoy a short excursion to Betaab Valley. Optional activities include a pony ride to Baisaran Valley and river rafting at Aru Valley (on direct payment basis). The scenic drive runs parallel to the sparkling Lidder River, adding to the charm of the journey.

Check in at your hotel in Pahalgam and spend the rest of the day at leisure, surrounded by the valley’s serene beauty.

Day 14Pahalgam – Srinagar & Departure
